Technically an Andrew, preferring to go by Andy. With that out of the way…
I have over sixteen years of experience working for leaders in the streaming video industry, particularly in a Content Operations and Media Production capacity. In that time, I witnessed at first the gradual, then exponential, proliferation of VOD/EST media as consumer habits shifted to a more digital consumption model. To better accommodate the increased demand for content within a shortened production timeframe, I found myself constantly collaborating with my team, other departments and business partners to examine existing B2B and D2C workflows, determining which processes could be altered without sacrificing the quality of our product nor the sanity of the invested parties.
I’ve also carved out time to scratch my creative itch, moonlighting as a copywriter and scriptwriter at various points in my Content Ops career. The need to adhere to specific guidelines and meet tight deadlines in both my digital production and creative writing careers translated well to each other, helping hone and develop my professional chops across the board.
Beyond the day-to-day grind, I enjoy pick-up basketball games, late night Wikipedia rabbit holes, espousing the virtues of 80s soft rock in karaoke sessions, poring over and debating best-of lists no matter the subject, and relaxing at home with my wife, baby girl, and fur family (an even two dogs and two cats split).
